THIS IDEA IS NOT WORKING
Maybe a giant robot...or a crazy musician...no,no, an old lady...and a snake...well, this idea is not working.
Here I present the step by step of my VFS classical animated film[!], called THIS IDEA IS NOT WORKING. Since I really like to see Making of and any sort of "behind the camera" stuff, I'm glad to do this for my own film. Any comments are really welcome! Feel free to say and ask anything you want! LIFE DRAWING PORTFOLIO
After a year of Life Drawing classes, here are the poses I selected for the portfolio.
COLOR THEORY
These are some of the paintings I did for Color Theory. I really enjoyed this course because color was (and maybe still is...:D) my weak spot. Of course there is a lot of "feelings" when you talk about choosing colors, but I do feel good that I can understand it better now. Besides that, it was really relaxing to paint with paint. I also posted in the two paintings I liked the most!
NOODLES, FIRED!
After changing the light bulb, Noodles was very proud of himself, but his boss wasn't. =( With Noodles getting fired we finish all the VFS assignments! It includes all the principles we've been learning since the bouncing ball such as volume, arcs, timing, acting, reacting, thinking and now...lip sync. =)
From now on we will be applying all these principles in our final projects!!! And I'll be posting a little bit of each step here, I hope. =D

NOODLES AND THE LIGHT BULB
With Noodles we went deeper in the animator's acting skills and the character thinking process. It's a little weird that you start to struggle more about these things, instead of the drawing itself. It's a weird felling that your "drawing" (the line in the paper) is not so important anymore. But of course, it makes completely sense... and it's still all about the drawing. =D I hope I made my point!
Anyway... Noodles is a very goofy character who gets in trouble changing the light bulb. Will he be able to finish this task?

DUMPO, THE MAGICIAN
Dumpo is a very charismatic magician, but very goofy. His levitation trick is about to be revealed.
Of course I learned with every single assignment, but especially with Dumpo I felt more that I'm reeeeally improving my drawing and animation skills. It's very cool and I enjoyed a lot. Hope you enjoy Dumpo's magic show! =D

WEIGHT LIFT
This is my old thin lady having troubles to lift a huge chest. It took me some time and some tries to figure out all the spinning around and the counterbalance points, but at the end I think it's working quite good! =D
WALK CYCLE - 4 LEGS
For the 4 legged walk cycle, I worked on this super smart and heavy Hippo walking. Full of structure! VFS Classical Animation assignment.
WALK CYCLE - 2 LEGS
Walk cycle are one of hardest things to animated. There is lots of things happening at the same time and it's such a task to give the character a believable personality. In this assignment, I did a funny guy walking and "dancing". VFS Classical Animation assignment.
REACTION
I really love Tex Avery animation, so in this assignment, I was very happy to do this crazy and exaggerated reaction! Tks Tex Avery! VFS Classical Animation assignment.
HEAD ROTATION
I learned a lot about thinking with simple shapes as I designed and animated this graphic 2D character with a 360º 3D rotation. VFS Classical Animation assignment.
THE HUNTER FROG
A frog hunting a fly! This is the last assignment of the 1st term. We should play with the interaction between the frog and the fly. I designed the character as well. VFS Classical Animation assignment.
BOUNCING SANTA
In this bouncing assignment Santa loses his pants while bounces. VFS Classical Animation assignment.
THE FLOUR SACK
The Flour Sack is a "famous character" and there is lots of variations with he out there. In my version, he goes to Circus! VFS Classical Animation assignment.
